by Jürgen Tschamler (22.10.2008) Behind this inconspicuous name, there’s an incredibly gifted band with a remarkable female singer, Liv. "Switchblade serenades" is the international debut album of the Swedes who have carved out their musical territory somewhere between Skew Siskin, Fatal Smile and early Mötley Crüe. To me, Liv sounds like a mixture of Nina C. Alice (Skew Siskin), Anette Johansson (Shiva) and good old bitch. The songs are hefty and heavy, sometimes even reminding me of an Accept-riff here and there - This is pure Street Metal with the punky attitude of Skew Siskin, the power of Mötley Crüe, and the sleazy, cool touch of Fatal Smile. Regarding speed, the gang is mostly on the fast lane - the riffs mill their way into your ears and Liv's charismatic vocals are the frosting on this cake. This CD is a hot topic - and it won’t leave your CD player for a long time. If you don’t buy it, you’ll miss something remarkably good.
