by Florian Drees (07.01.2008) Another Trustkill Release that is worth mentioning. That already begins with the cover artwork that mantles this masterpiece in an adequate way. The sun sets, it becomes dark and the creatures from the underground begin to come out. It doesn't really matter that the this album has already been available in the U.S. for one and a half years – in return, the German edition was added by two bonus songs! The five guys from This Is Hell know how to produce traditional Hardcore. Gangshouts, breakdowns and heavy hooklines are countered by two very calm instrumentals showing the other, emotional side of the band. At the end of the day, this is a great, old school Hardcore album that doesn't stop for new influences and ideas. My listening tips are "The polygraph cheaters", "Broken teeth" and "Epilogue".
