Obscenity have been a fundamental part of the German death-metal scene since they formed in 1989. Following a low period, they’ve been consistently on-the-go with ‘Atrophied In Anguish’ since their quasi-revival in 2012. The first album to feature their new vocalist Manuel Siewert (ex December Flower) and new bassist David Speckmann (Burial Vault) goes by the name ‘Summoning The Circle’ – this is yet another presentation of classic death metal at its best. It was recorded in guitarist Christoph Weerts studio and in the Soundlodge Studio with producer Jörg Uken (Dew-Scented, Anvil, God Dethroned). Christoph Brandes (Necrophagist, Spheron) took over the mixing.
