This "re-recorded edition" does not only include the album, but a bonus DVD (live material from the Ozzfest 2004) as well.

The Norwegian extreme metal band 'Dimmu Borgier's second album "Stormblast" was originally released in 1996. The vocals on the LP are in Norwegian and it's considered a lesson on the genre. It brought the band based around front man Shagrath to a whole new level.

by Lisa Hofer (October 2005) Norway's Black Metal export No. 1 delivers a special highlight from the endless sources of their deep black creativity enchanting not only the most devoted fans: "Stormblast", the second album of the band was completely re-recorded and now shines in completely new power-dimensions. In comparison to the original recording, the sound is like a sharpened diamond full of facets and aspects crafted by the great production. Beside the atmospheric Black Metal that is know as the trademark of the band you get plenty of bonus-material: a gig on the Ozzfest 2004 can be seen exclusively on the accompanying Bonus-DVD. Furthermore you get two previously unreleased songs, such as the song "Sorgens kammer Vol.II", a continuation of the instrumental track of the second album. "Stormblast" 2005 reminds me of the later works of Dimmu Borgir and presents the band from their modern side. If you liked "Death cult armageddon", you'll love this album.
