by Oliver Kube (11.04.2007) Muff Potter started out 14 years ago in Rheine, Germany and meanwhile spread out to Münster and Berlin. But it wasn't before 2005 that their great album "Von wegen" provided them with a nation-wide breakthrough and with bigger audiences. Still, neither on that one nor on the new album, any big compromises could be observed. The four guys present their uniquely weird, lovely German Punk orientated Rock featuring some Emo and Pop elements. With the highly melodic "Die Guten", the mid-tempo rocker "Das Finkelmann'sche lachen" and the pleasantly thoughtful "Gestern an der Front", they have their own, self-willed but still irresistible hit candidates in store. But also the fans of the rough side of theirs are being served: e.g. with the very intense, greatly culminating "Steady Fremdkörper" or the noisy high-speed "Wunschkonzert". Quality as usual.
