Brian May + Friends: Star Fleet Project' is the third release of the 'Brian May Gold Series', which was first released in 1983. Accompanied by rock giants Edward Van Halen, Alan Gratzer, Phil Chen, and Fred Mandel, the result of their legendary recording sessions was captured on a mini-album with three tracks.

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, 'Star Fleet Project' has been completely reimagined. Brian and his studio team (Queen sound engineers Justin Shirley-Smith and Kris Fredriksson) have created a new 2023 mix of the sessions from the original multitrack master tapes and digitized the artwork.
