by Andreas Reissnauer (27.04.2009) Nothing new from Italy - which is good because on their debut album, Flashback Of Anger deliver exactly the sound you like to hear from there: Melodic Metal with the necessary dash of Power and outstanding, unkitschy melodies. Add some class A keyboards often reminding you of Symphonic Speed Metal kings Symphony X. Come to think of it - one could call Flashback Of Anger a bastard of Symphony X and Sonata Arctica... The latter having a similar feeling for catchy hook lines as Flashback of Anger. Of course, the Italians have their own approach, but fans of the aforementioned should be pleased with this band, too - especially because apart from the compositional capability, they also have the technical versatility to strut their stuff. And Alessio Gori is a vocalist of the same quality as Fabio Lione or Roberto Tiranti. A nice debut - bring on the next one!
