by Jürgen Tschamler (03.01.2006) Their last album brought this band a huge step forward. Which is not surprising for this album has balls! On “Sleep is the enemy“, the band performs a whole lot straighter which results in the fact that almost 50% of the album is quite fast in Danko Jones terms. Especially the kick ass hymn, “Invisible“, “She's drugs“ (with some subliminal Warrior Soul vein!) or the quite rough rocker, “Sleep is the enemy“! Already the opener, “Sticky situation“ makes clear that Danko Jones kick more ass than ever. An absolute earwig is “First date“ with an edgy melody and a chorus with long-time effect. The AC/DC-orientated “Baby hates me“ will probably become one of the future live classics. The trio rocks in an unmistakable way again and still makes no compromises. With this album, the Canadians have produced a candidate for the title 'rock album of the year'! Well done!
