by Jürgen Tschamler (27.01.2010) With "Shovel headed tour machine - Live at Wacken and other atrocities", Exodus present us a great DVD/CD package: a must for any Exodus fan, be it a newbie or a long-time one. The heart of the stuff is the brilliant performance of the Bay Area legend on Wacken Festival 2008. The track list is a protocol of violence and the band acts according to it. Evergreens like "Bonded by blood", "A lesson in violence", "Piranha" or even the newer "War is my shepard" and "Shovel headed kill machine" speak for themselves - ‘nuff said. And then - the two DVDs: first, the above mentioned Wacken show and then another one including a (funny) history, hefty behind-the-scenes footage, music videos, historical interviews, tour snippets from the last world tour, awesome clips of Exodus fans from everywhere, a photo gallery with more than 350 pics, unreleased film footage and many more. You never have gotten that close to the band so far. This is an almost complete summary of their past five years. Great, greater, Exodus!
