65.BONUS MATERIAL
by Matthias Mader (18.01.2007) Pure entertainment: with "Shit happens", Every Time I Die release an evening-filling DVD with the sonorous (and slightly ironic) subtitle, "The life. The stage. The road. The DVD". The good two hours of material not only present the Americans at one of their energetic live shows and some very amusing clips ("The new black"), but also allow some views behind the scenes that may even be more interesting. Documentary, historical and behind the scenes sequences are skilfully combined for a whole unit. Over the course of the film, it becomes more and more evident that Every Time I Die really has a crude sense of humour. I suppose not everybody would have assumed that about the macho Metalcore heroes. The packaging in a paper box with expensive stamps, menu and production (cuts and sound) are great, I only would have wished for a bit more playing time. Yet, if there just was no more material of the same quality, what the heck?
