The post-black metal group 'Vattnet Viskar' from New Hampshire releases its second album "Settler". Recorded in the Earth Analog Studios (Champaign) with producer Sanford Parker (Minsk, Voivod, Yob, Nachtmystium), the guys, based around Nicholas Thornbury present 8 intense and poignant songs. This follow-up to the strong debut "Sky Swallower" definitely has what it takes. Its a moment of joy for fans of bands like Wolves In The Throne Room, Deafheaven, Lantlos, Agalloch and further evidence of the creative potential of the American scene that convinces with innovative sounds instead of reiterating the usual genre cliches of the devil, Satan, Beelzebub etc. The provocative and atypical cover by Josh Graham (Neurosis, Soundgarden) visually emphasizes this fact.
