by Fabian Groth (02/01) Where this comes from, there is a lot more of it. I am almost beginning to take over the language of street-dealers when talking about Rock'n'Roll from Sweden. Purely inexhaustible repertoires is the number of guitar-bands digging deep and unconcerned in the fund of Rock'n'Roll history. The Bones combine traditional Rock'n'Roll-sounds with Pettycoat-dreams and an uncompromising Punkrock-vibe with a heavy portion of straight rock. As soon as this c.d. really starts, you begin to fancy one of these '63-Mustangs, the right middle-finger pointed upwards and driving into the sunset ... Helping this case is the fact that the sound of "Screwed, blued & tatooed" is absolutely brilliant for Punk-Rock relations plus the fact that these guys really seem to know what they are doing - not only the guitar-solos can indicate that they are excellent musicians.
