On the occasion of the 50th band anniversary of the Scorpions, „Savage amusement“ is released in a remastered CD/DVD deluxe edition in a high-quality digipak, also featuring five previously unreleased bonus tracks. The DVD brims with video clips and documentaries. „To Russia with love and other savage amusements” documents the band's trip to Leningrad (St. Petersburg), where the Scorpions performed as the first western Rock band ever in the spring of 1988. The DVD also contains video clips and an interview special especially filmed for this release, with the band members talking about the making of the album. The package is topped off by a 16-page booklet with new liner notes by the former editor-in-chief of Metal Hammer magazine Edgar Klüsener, photos and pictures of backstage passes and rare single covers.
