Article description

Two fisted, mostly midtempo Screamo-Core with insistent vocals and a maddive Metal-part. The song structures are relatively complex, but rarely really confusing.

    Architects 2007-2008 Tourfilm

by Matthias Mader (21.07.2008) Not every young British band is honoured by national radio station BBC Radio One telling the public you’re one of the best newcomers... It was the second album of the band, "Ruin" which was liked that much by the radio people: BBC considered it one of the top releases of the year 2007. An unusual choice - the eleven songs, among them "Buried at sea", "Hunt them down" or "Running from the sun" are far from being superficial background music: tough as nails, mid-tempo Screamocore with striking vocals and a massive Metal edge are on the band’s agenda. The song structures are fairly complex, but not too intricate (if you leave out the occasional blast parts), and luckily, most of the time, the Architects pick up where they have left. This CD is a rerelease with an audio bonus track ("Broken clocks"), two video clips ("Always" and "Buried at sea"), and a film done on tour 2007/2008.
