by Oliver Kube (12.08.2009) Rough and with a lot of clout, the Californians report back on the scene with the title track of their second album - in spite of the sound which unfortunately turned out a bit frayed. "Mofo", the second song, is more on the Rock ’n’ Roll side of things, but pressure's still the word here. Led by skateboard pro Mike Valley at the mike, these two set the pace for the rest of the stuff, until hefty mid-tempo groove monster "Crossroads" and the extremely long, but never boring Blues on the "Hidden Track" finish you off after 46 minutes, and let you catch your breath. So much aggression, yet also positive energy, combined with a lot of versatility, is not that common, even in US-Hardcore. 2007, their debut "Glory bound" pointed in the right direction: Mr. Valley is a champ - not only on the board, but also as a musician. This disc may be one of the most important genre releases of the year 2009 - mark my words.
