Tenacious D’s Jack Black and Kyle Gass really strut their stuff on „Rize of the Fenix“, delivering a rocking piece of entertainment with this release. Since the gentlemen know their craft, their lyrics reflect their audacity: the title track is an impressive proof that these two live in their own, irony-drenched, weird world. You’ll also love the spoken word parts - just listen to „Classic teacher“ (the plot: JB is a Spanish guitar instructor abusing KG) which is the transition to the Flamenco song „Señorita“ - a perfect fit. Be it a ballad or a Rock song, the crazy duo just dishes it out. A great album for anyone who likes it hot, juicy and fresh from the oven. Enjoy!
