by Jürgen Tschamler (03/10) In 1999, Life of Agony finally broke, which was a painful experience not only Γ¬ for their fans but also for the scene in general. LOA had been musical Γ¬ frontrunners, they lived their ideas in a consequent way and opened the doors for Γ¬ many bands to come with their free style metal. In early 2003, the four original Γ¬ members came together for a re-union show. Since the show in the New Yorker Γ¬ Irving Plaza was sold out within 30 minutes, they decided to record it in order to Γ¬ present the historical event to the fans worldwide. The album title refers to Γ¬ their 1993 debut album, "River runs red" and shows a band with tremendous Γ¬ enthusiasm. The tension around the show can be heard in killers like "Weeds", Γ¬ "Bad seed", "River runs red" or "Seasons" to call but a few. The band had a lot Γ¬ of fun and the audience, too - a convincing recording with a fat sound Γ¬ presenting Life of Agony in best condition. Bonus tracks are from the current Γ¬ projects of the LOA members: Supermassiv, Among Thieves and Keith Caputo Solo. Γ¬ What a fine double album! (JΓΌrgen Tschamler - 03/10)
