12.Let's spend the night together
by Oliver Kube (20.04.2009) Two years after their fabulous reunion album "Back to the rhythm" Great White are still on top of their game. Their new output starts with powerful "Situation", followed by cool and groovy "All or nothinβ". So far, so good - that's timeless stuff. But then, you're in for a surprise: you'll get juicy keyboard sounds on "I donβt mind"(which begins as an almost ballad but develops into a genuine epic anthem) reminding you vividly of the quintet's musical origin: 80s Hairspray Rock! But in combination with that Caribbean rhythm and Jack Russel's vocals (brilliant performance!), the Cali-boys are far from a trip sonw memory lane - the track's not more than a tongue-in-cheek homage to the past. After this little show stopper, it's back to business, that is, to Blues-heavy Hard Rock - this has made them famous, and they're still at it with style and grace. Have you ever, some time during the course of your life so far, been a Great White fan? Yes? Then check out this album - you'll definitely like it.
