by Matthias Mineur (09/02) It was in 1984 when the young Peavy Wagner and his band entered the studios for the first time to let go his creativity. Back then still a rather unfinished musician he nevertheless got a record deal with "Noise Records", the successor of "Sanctuary" today. The first thing, Noise did was advise Wagner for a change of names. Avenger became Furious Rage, later then Rage. The second things of the Berlin based label was to give him the money for a studio production which culminated in the debut album, "Reign Of Fear" (1986). Seven more releases followed until 1994, than Rage changed to G.U.N. Now, the whole "Noise"-back catalogue is being rereleased, of course, completely remastered: "Reign Of Fear", "Execution Guaranteed", "Perfect Man", "Secrets In A Weird World", "Reflections Of A Shadow", "Trapped", "The Missing Link" and "10 Years In Rage - The Anniversary Album". All rereleases got a great new booklet with rare, in parts unreleased photos for the era of the recordings. Second addition: on each of the c.d.s you get 5 bonus tracks, that some fans may know already but that surely further enhance the albums. And as if that weren¦t enough: "Sanctuary" offers these albums for a special price. Get 'em! (Matthias Mineur - 10/02)
