13.Don't let it slip away (Video)
by Olaf Plotke (12.07.2007) It was only in March, 2007, that David Readman released the new album "In10sity" with his band, Pink Cream 69, and now he surprises us with his first solo album. Pink Cream 69-bass player and producer, Dennis Ward had already announced in the last EMP-magazine that the band members would be realizing their own solo projects and record songs that wouldn't quite fit Pink Cream 69. After listening this album it is clear: there are great songs that remain left in Pink Cream 69. But it's right, they don’t fit the band. They are more melancholic, more thoughtful, and more Pop, too, but still always exceptional. "Don't let it slip away" and "Take these tears" are power ballads with true charting ambitions standing next to great Rock songs, like "New Messiah". The fact that with guitarist, Uwe Reitenauer and producer Dennis Ward, the album features two PC69-colleagues can be heard: "Wild in the city" would have fit "In10sity", e.g.. But who cares? This is simply almost 60 minutes of great music – not only for PC 69-fans.
