by Markus Wosgien (30.10.2009) German Power Metal gang Mob Rules needed a whopping three years to record the follow-up to their fifth album "Ethnolution a.d.". Well, at least it paid off: "Radical peace" is a sparkler by vocalist Klaus Dirks and his boys. The seven tracks are intoxicating and convincing: great melodies, epic moments, and a versatility you'll fall for from the first sounds of the fantastic opening song "Children of the flame". The centrepiece, though, is 18-minutes long "The Oswald file", providing the band with the chance to really strut their stuff. Not a bit less fascinating: the single "Astral hand", dark anti-war anthem "Warchild", and catchy "Trial by fire". With this extremely classy release, Mob Rules have become one of Germany's best and most important Power Metal bands, "Radical peace" definitely being their masterpiece so far.
