by Markus Wosgien (April 2005) Last year should have been the most turbulent for Adema. After their old label shut their gates and only shortly afterwards their old frontman, Marky Chavez left the band, the three remaining members had to face some kind of new beginnig. "Planets" however is everything but frustration. This album is a timeless, modern rock album. Adema have become even more self conscious and fresher than ever before. The 14 tracks are both deeply emotional And dynamic, burst for energy and conviction. Luke Caraccioli does a perfect job as the new shouter and with his powerful but rather melodic voice provides a rather harmonic feel and sometimes reminds me of 30 Seconds To Mars frontman, Jared Leto. With "Tornado", this album also has a potential hit in store, yet: every song on the album is settled on a very high level putting a spell on you as the listener. Adema are fun to listen to and I could do for hours. The Californian sun and wind in their backs have done them very well! (Markus Wosgien - April 2005)
