by Thomas Clausen (30.10.2009) So much for the mysterious ways of a Pop millionaire: Dead By Sunrise consist of none less than Linkin Park front man Chester Bennington and the blokes of Julien-K (ex-Orgy). All that stuff too hard, too dark, too uncommercial, too Bennington and not compatible with his multi-platinum main project - you’ll find it here. Mr. B. doesn’t suppress his distinct feeling for great melodies, though, it’s just that they differ extremely from the sounds of his main outfit. Unusually pulsating, almost Electro Punk-ey tracks as "Crawl back in" and "My suffering", or ethereal, atmospheric weltschmerz material à la "Let down" and "Walking in circles" - with Dead By Sunrise, you get the real Chester Bennington for the first time, and here, he’s much more exciting than with Linkin Park!
