by Tim Petric (05/03) Yeah, yeah, there come the Swedes, but who this time? This time it¦s Venerea with a new release. The boys from Falkenberg are distributed via SPV meanwhile on the Rock'n'Roll label "People Like You", standing for first class releases as we all know. Yet, this is the only change there is to be noticed in Venerea. The band sticks to their roots. They play Skatepunk with high speed. Changes? No, thanks. It looks as if I'd prefer Lagwagon or Good Riddance releases these days, but I'm perfectly served with "Out in the red". This is the sound that Venera stand for. With a bit disappointment I take note that in comparison to "Losing weight, ..." there is a lack in earwigs this time. But that doesn't reduce the general impression and the steady performance of the band. At the end of the day, if you like innovative Punk-records, you should look somewhere else. For all fans of the mentioned bands I can only recommend this album to you!
