by Benny Ramm (10.04.2007) Last year, the New Yorker Hardcore-institution, Sick Of It All, celebrated their 20th anniversary. This cause was used by a number of prominent bands to record the ultimate tribute-album. Rise Against, e.g., covered the song, "Build to last". Hatebreed chose "Ratpack", Madball perform "Give respect". "Scratch the surface" was put on a new level by Sepultura and Napalm Death ask: "Who sets the rules". A total of 20 songs were covered, including versions of bands, like Unearth, Bleeding Through, Ignite, First Blood, Himsa and a number of further, interesting new interpretations. 20 years of Sick Of It All stand for 20 years of Hardcore-to-the-Bone. Their impact is and was felt. Like no other band, this band embodies Hardcore: so lift you glasses for another twenty years of street credibility and many more records and tours !!!
