by Markus Eck (05.10.2006) This exceptional group not only regularly changes its line up but also the style. "Origin", e.g. is a pure acoustic album. Graceful Folk schemes close to nature are being interwoven with fine classic cross references and atmospheric arrangements for a dream like sound. Upon it, main composer and guitar ace Oystein G. Brun placed some avant-garde and progressive elements as usual. The end result full of ideas is strikingly organic. The singing talent Vintersorg additionally enriched the songs lost in reverie with great nuances by his remarkably varied, clear vocals, brought into highly esthetical harmony with wood wind instruments and delicate string arrangements. Also the poetic, lyrical side fits this surrounding. The album contains a likewise new interpretation of the song "Oceans rise" off the 1998-masterpiece "The archaic course".
