by Alexander Ertner (03/10) They are back! The British heroes were signed by "Metal Blade" in early summer 2003 and now return really big with "Only Tolls And Corpses". The album title explains its content which unfortunately often sounds too dirty and too rough for my speakers. The finery fell of the wall! This form of "deep, grindcore slaps of throat" can become a bit too much at one time if you have a liking for beautiful songs. If you consider yourself a REAL grinder though you'll love this album and won't find any weaknesses. Gorerotted's almost unique mixture of typical splatter/grind characteristics in combination with means of death metal and punk can even thrill someone like me who normally prefers live-shows of such acts, only. But let's be honest: how sick can man/woman be? It's a pity that I didn't have any lyrics, I'm sure that'd be fun. Anyway, if you like really dirty, raw and brutal sounds, get yourself this album. The cult lives even if he lives on corpses. Gorerotted will tour with Pugent Stench - have fun!
