by Holger (null) This is unbelievable. "One second" doesn't have to do anything with old P.L. stuff. As it's getting popular the guys around singer Nick Holmes more and more rely on electronic sounds without loosing the rock touch. Don't get me wrong but nowadays you best compare Paradise Lost with The Cult ("Soul courageous") or better Depeche Mode ("Mercy", "The old life"). "One second" might offend some fans but after getting used to the new sound you'll soon discover the great potential of this album. Especially Nick improved his vocals quite a lot and provides the songs with great melodies and feeling. Music-wise P.L. serve us a milestone and take a hugh step towards rock stardom.
