by Sonja Angerer (null) "Ominous", this shouldn't be the future of Terminal Choice, at least not if they keep on releasing records of this quality: on more than 70 minutes, the Berlin-based band of the scene-DJ, Christian Pohl (NonTox), enlighten a fireworks of Big and Industrial Beats, EBM, Metal and Gothic. Quite logically, they took elements of people like Anne Clark ("My Way"), Marilyn Manson ("Human Hunter"), NIN ("No Chance / Anger Version") and of course: Wumpscut, too. When have you ever heard all these great bands on a single album? "Better copied good than badly invented yourself" is what a befriended musician once said, and he¦s right. Especially because "Ominous Future" is more than the sum of its parts: atmospherically tight, extremely dancefloor-compatible and with a lot of power that you hardly know from German productions. Terminal Choice released one of the most positively surprising releases so far this year in the dark genre.
