by Björn Thorsten Jaschinski (03.02.2009) Apart from revitalited Thrash, their new found love for old school Heavy Metal, and a few Death Metal combos, leisten Earache still have a penchant for unwieldy bands hard to stuff in any genre drawer, and Ignominious Incarceration (what a tongue twister! Try to pronounce that after 5 beers...) belong to that category. Seeing the cover artwork with the wolf motif, it could be something Γ la Catamenia. But instead of following the overestimated Finns on their meandering way, these youngsters deliver technically versatile, but non-jazzy Death Metal - melodic, but not overly sugar-coated like on some Scandinavian genre examples. None of the ten songs sounds Nordic cold or Black Metal - "Of winter born" is arranged and produced in these modern times, and no album for traditionalists. You canβt compare these blokes from Bath with the English Death Metal combos from the old Earache or Peaceville rosters.
