by Markus Wosgien (04.10.2006) Bandleader Zagan formed the band one decade ago and over the years their sound massively progressed, became more melodic, more anthemnic and simply more demanding. "Oath of a warrior" was a first-class Pagan Metal opus although Black Messiah burst even this genre. By the heavy use of strings in combination with Folk orientated melodies, their music causes permanent shivers down the spine and has its own, unique spirit. The gloomy vocals and the dark, majestic keyboards evoke unending goose flesh and radiate a deep, black feeling. Each of the 13 songs is a jewel in itself and the guys really manage to perform their songs authentically and credible. Again, a dominant part of the songs is sung in German resulting in some great drinking songs. Creativity is very important for the band and with this massive album in the back, Black Messiah should be Germany's most important act in the Black Metal scene beside Equilibrium.x
