by Olaf Plotke (null) Same as it ever was with ol' Axel Rudi Pell, if you forget about Jeff Scott Soto, who left the band after the release of the last album "Magic". With his latest hithero 7th studio-record "Ocean of time" the guitarist from Wattenscheid presents ex-Hardline-shouter Johnny Gioeli. I can reassure all confirmed Soto-fansthat Gioeli doesn't try to copy his predecessor. Of course, he is different. All songs and lyrics again were composed by Axel Rudi Pell. He offers what his fans love: melodic powermetal with epic texts and the right boost. 66 minutes of future Pell-classics. There's no central theme and no concept found in this Album. Pell states, that he wants his fans to interpret the songs themselves.
