by Fabian Groth (null) You can discuss the necessity of greatest hits compilations forever, in this case the AIC compilation is a good pro argument since it contains a very successful selection of 15 tracks by the depressive grunge legend from Seattle. Starting with their first successes from their debut "Facelift" ("Man in the box") via a couple of pieces from their ingenious second record "Dirt" to the very acoustic but not less cool "Jar of flies" EP and their 1995 selftitled album. Additionally, you'll find a very good previously unreleased piece from last year ("Get born again"), a live version of "Rooster", "Got me wrong" unplugged, and "What the hell have I" which was only available on a soundtrack until now. A 62-minute lesson to learn about deep rock music which will make you miss the heroes of the 90's even more. Where are the bands today who could reach this high a level!
