Excellent Service

The self-titled Nevermore debut released in 1995 and consisting of two demo sessions with producer Neil Kennon was like a bombshell: Warrel Danes' highly emotional vocals and the virtuosic instrumental performance raised the Sanctuary inheritance to a new level.

by Matthias Mineur (05.10.2006) If you think of Nevermore you think of true Metal at its best. The records of the Americans have all been recorded with full power, produced with passion and bursting with fantastic songs. Now, the three records "Nevermore", "In memory" and "The politics of ecstasy" are being re-released with plenty of bonus material. "Nevermore" for example features four demo versions from 1992 and a video clip for the opener "What tomorrow knows". "In memory" even sees five previously unreleased demos, while "The politics of ecstasy" contains one more song and the video clip for "Next in line". Also new in all three releases are the booklets added by great liner notes. If you've seen the band on tour with Disturbed in September and October, you have hopefully thanked the band for this great upvaluation of their three cult records. Or is this all the label's work, only?
