by Matthias Mader (29.09.2006) Rock'n'Roll kontrovers. FΓΌr asoziale Wohlstandskinder! (Rock'n'Roll controverse. For antisocial prosperity children!) That's the slogan that you can see on the cover of the new album of the Wilden Jungs, introducing what you are about to hear on their album. The 14 songs are generally said competently performed, very catchy Punk Rock that sometimes is really thrilling. The Wilden Jungs really have the Rock'n'Roll in their blood and do without the usual Street-Punk clichΓ©s as far as possible (in both lyrics and music). The lyrical range of the compositions reaches from von "9/11" and "Imperator" via "Wunder 06" (a non-essential football song) to "Danke Schlampe". The pace is predominantly mid-tempo providing some nice alternative, especially because the (sometimes AC/DC-reminiscent) hooks are really great. "Multikriminell" is a really original German Punk-Rock-album that easily covers the range from Rio Reiser ("Wieder mal geschafft") via Extrabreit to the Toten Hosen ("Das Kreuzberglied").
