    Raise your hands

by Jürgen Tschamler (07.01.2008) The perfectly drawn lady on the cover smiling at you makes this cover feel familiar in a great way; it seems as if one knows immediately what to expect from the new Psychopunch album: the kick ass Punk'n'Roll dosis that we missed for so long. The four Swedes give us exactly that and make no compromises with their style and sound. Uptempo hitters, such as "No one really knows", "Another statement" and the really fast "If you say so" feature all band-typical trademarks in all their beauty. There is not a single band in the whole kick ass genre that is so clearly recognisable as Psychopunch. That results from the unique guitar sounds and especially from JM's Brandy-soaked vocals adding the individual stamp to the songs. With ten songs, the album is not extraordinarily long but the quality of the songs makes up for that. Melody and power go hand in hand so that also the seventh Psychopunch album is worth a recommendation for the fan of high quality Punk'n'Roll.
