The famous avant-garde musicians around singer Thomas Gabriel โ€žWarriorโ€œ Fischer surprise their fans with some very self-willed compositions that with all their bizarre grace are difficult to pigeonhole to any genre - as usual. Strangely coldly, desolate, gloomy, threatening and hopelessly is the trio's material on โ€œMonotheistโ€œ. Much of it appears new, many new influences seem to have come in and yet, Celtic Frost have surprisingly stuck to their roots. The former wildness and braveness of the Swiss pioneers was replaced by predominantly dragging, waltzing song structures. Also vocally, sometimes nightmarish clear vocal lines have come in. Celtic Frost's stylistic transformation into the musical now has famously been achieved with this gloom artefact.
