Queensryche Rock & Ride (2007 Live At The Moore Theater in Seattle Video)

by Oliver Kube (13.07.2007) Last year, Queensryche perfected their masterpiece begun in 1988 with the second part of their reference concept album, "Operation: Mindcrime". Already by the time of the first part, frontman Geoff Tate & Co. had the idea of a stage production with actors, sceneries etc. which in combination with the second part finally made really sense. The two and a half hours make up a set that both musically and lyrically can easily compete with the big Rock-Operas of the 70s. Recorded at three shows in Seattle, the hometown of the quintet, you now get the perfect performance, recorded with great shots (only some more camera angles would have been nice), very powerful, almost raw sounding DVD with the complete show. A must-have for every fan that also features some great extras, too. Beside a tour documentation you e.g. get excerpts of other shows. Absolute highlight is Ronnie James Dio's guest appearance as Dr. X at the show in Los Angeles.
