Barely anyone would have thought that System Of A Down could surpass the huge success of ‘Toxicity’, but the band show us how wrong we were by really going the extra mile with ‘Mezmerize’. The disk hammers out metal sounds with violent songs like ‘B.Y.O.B’ and delivers vicious lyrics such as those in ‘Violent Pornography’. System Of A Down have simply done everything right here. The cover design is tied to that of the follow-up, ‘Hypnotize’, and together they form a unity.
