by Frank Löbnitz (11.07.2007) Two years after their "The infinity complex" debut album, Machinemade God are back and it is breathtaking to see the development this band has gone through: from a good, young formation still looking for an identity of their own to one of the best bands Germany has to offer. Arrow-fast, intelligent riffs are plenty, added by skilful melody lines and great harmony vocals of guitarist Sky contrasting the powerful, aggressive vocals of main singer, Florian. But most of all, the compositions on "Masked" are big art. The range goes from As I Lay Dying-like anger attacks to heavenly, melodic passages of the Soilwork-school. Variation rules and if you like heavy, modern music, you don't get by this Machinemade God album. I'm waiting with anticipation for the live presentation.
