by Jürgen Tschamler (12.08.2009) Finally, the Truckfighters get down to the nitty-gritty on their third album. Listening to their first two releases, you always thought: "There's much of potential - though the Swedes haven't dug it all out yet." On "Mania", the boys mean Business with a B. The sluggish, not too impressive opening song "Last curfew" is not very advantageous for them, though - the rest of the album is totally different. The Truckfighters are rocksters with brain, not sticking to the usual genre clichΓ©s. Pumping grooves and a lot of 70s stuff are the basis of juicy Riff Rock tracks drenched with that Stoner feeling. Highlights: sophisticated smashers like "Loose" or "Monte gargano", being the cream on this solid and timeless Rock cake. Wahwah guitars, a dash of Wolfmother, and bits of guitar work Γ la El Caco's - on "Mania", that results in a highly entertaining mixture. This is obviously a musical "Hats off to the 70s" - hats off!
