by Marko Saarinen (19.07.2007) Mekong Delta is back: "Lurking fear" is an orgy of musical revelations. With this album, Mekong Delta prove that it is still possible in 2007 to deliver innovative music without orientating in anything or anyone. A firework of galloping riffs, weird song structures and the boisterous will to be different than the rest perfectly unite on this album. Ralf's passion for classic, however, is less prominent on this album and fast, Thrash-like, tornado-like songs stamp the picture. "Rules of corruption" sounds very destructive and in the second half of the songs becomes so incredibly fast that you can hardly see through this firework of riffs. Relatively catchy and provided with an accessible melody is "Ratters" convincing initially. Highspeed-shells on highest level offers "Immortal hate! Hammer! The few classic elements are thrillingly woven into the riff blasts, like in "Moderato" – unbelievable what Ralf Hubert has produced here.
