by Matthias Mineur (02/03) Quite a difficult birth that took a lot of time and several trials. Molly Hatchet's live album, "Locked And Loaded" was initially announced for an autumn release but was postponed again and again due to production-problems. Yet: it was worth the waiting! On two packed c.d.s, Bobby Ingram, Phil McCormack and their companions present themselves in best mood and perform all important songs - "Beatin' The Odds", "Edge Of Sundown", "Fall Of The Peacemakers", "Devil's Canyon" and the unforgotten "Flirtin' With Disaster". Recorded on the Wacken Open Air, in Hamburg and in the Bremen "Aladin", Molly Hatchet skilfully mixed their own classics with evergreens of rock history, like "Dreams I'll Never See" by the Allman Brothers or "Tumbling Dice", the Rolling Stones-masterpiece. A total of 32 songs spanning the bow from the early days to the presence, documenting the exceptional place of Molly Hatchet in southern rock terrains.
