by Oliver Kube (22.10.2008) "All excess" featured a tour documentation - "Live in the LBC" is the first live in concert-DVD of Avenged Sevenfold. LBC is the Long Beach Convention Center near L.A. - in the arena which was sold out (about 10 000 fans were there), the band celebrated a triumphal and, thanks to all the pyros, explosive show on April 10, 2008. The US boys turned the giant venue into one big, sweaty moshpit with their energy-loaded mixture of Hardcore, Emo, and classic Metal elements. In the package, you get a DVD and a CD - on the CD, you find alternative versions ("Afterlife"), B-sides ("Crossroads"), some previously unreleased songs ("Until the end", "Tension") from the 2007 album which had no name, and two cover versions, the latter being "Walk" (Pantera) and Iron Maiden’s "Flash of the blade". Both are not quite the originals, yet demonstrate the band’s respect for the music of their idols.
