14.Re-Evolution [American Man / She Mine / For A Brother / Just Sixteen / The Last Fight / Can't Get It Out Of My Head / +]
by Marcel Anders (13.07.2007) Three years after "Contraband", the conglomerate of ex-Guns N'Roses-, Stone Temple Pilots- and Suicidal Tendencies-members release their second album – finishing what they started: an explosive brew of Garage Rock, Punk, Glam and Metal smelling like testosterone and oily motor chains, angry, fierce and dirty by powerful riffs, blasting drums and ultra-cool vocals dealing with such essential things, like easy girls, heavy motor-bikes and good drinks. For a good reason, the songs have such fitting names, like "Just sixteen", "Mary Mary", "American man" and "Pills, demons, etc." not hesitating for any cliché nor platitude. Under the supervision of the legendary Brendan O’Brien (Pearl Jam, Black Crowes), the supergroup exactly delivers what missions of left Gunners-fans needed: honest, dirty Power Rock of the old school kind getting along without trendy bells and whistles and political correctness but instead simply rocks full of energy.
