Article description

Jack White, who grew up in Detroit as the youngest of ten kids and lives in Nashville since 20005, is one of the most productive and well-known American artists. As the White Stripes gave their first concerts in 1997, nobody expected, least of all White himself, that a red-white one-guy-one-girl band almost could conquer the mainstream world and could bring a hit like "Seven Nation Army" to a worldwide football hymn. After more successes (among others solo and with the Raconteurs, Dead Weather), nine Grammys and the founding of an own, very productive label (Third Man Records) Jack White releases with "Lazaretto" his second solo album. The title track is at the same time the single. With latter Jack White established a world record: from the beginning of the recording over the pressing up to the release of the single it took not even four hours.
