by Jenny Zaoborny (null) Since I did the interview without having heard the c.d., I was full of tension when I first heard the album. And I haven't expected too much. The intro "Ars moriendi" (the art of dying) almost lets you fall into a trance of dancing. The music reminds me a bit of the background music of shade movies of the beginning 1900. But it goes on fast with "Azrael". "Pompa Funebris 1660" is an instrumental track I can vividly imagine the burial train (see Interview). The title-track, "La grandee danse macabre" is a track that will lure the people onto the dancefloor. What still surprises me now, is, blood and fire can be brought onto stage, but how do they want to do this with death or dying? Well, we'll get the answer in March/April, when the boys will go on tour. Perhaps we see each other someplace.
