by Marcel Anders (04.10.2006) The fourth album of the Visual Kei-band from Tokyo who have been pioneers for years: they were the first to come over to Europe making the way for the surprising success of the whole genre. At the same time, singer Daisuke is far less international and open minded as his colleague Hyde. He still writes his lyrics in Japanese and cultivates some obvious mysticism. That begins with the artwork showing his person with a black flag in the middle of a sandstorm and is set forth in the black booklet pages and an accompanying translation revealing the whole VK program: melodramatic prose about big love, big pains, big estrangement, big everything. As always accompanied by a musical warehouse of Punk, New Wave, Jazz-like instrumental passages, infernal noise and acoustic ballads. Bizarre but great.
