    City's gonna burn

by Jürgen Tschamler (29.01.2009) This rerelease is probably one of Laaz Rockit's best albums, featuring many classics of the US Thrash combo: "Last breath", "Euroshima", "Mad axe attack", "Shoot to hell". The boys weren't as brutal as they were later, and you can still hear a lot of Speed / Power Metal influences. The tracks are energetic, wild, and first-class Metal, sometimes a tad hectic, even reminding you a bit of King Diamond - voicewise, that is... Anyway, this is definitely a Must-Have! You'll also get a bonus DVD with the complete Laaz Rockit gig on Aardschokdag 1986 in Holland on it - the band performed in their trademark stage outfits (unfortunately, they didn't wear it any more during following tours...)! Ok, it's just one camera angle (from the soundboard) and it doesn't have top-notch sound quality - but the material is cult! In spite of, or rather due to, the "bootleg" appeal of the DVD, you're sitting in a time machine - absolutely awesome! This rerelease of "Know your enemy" is a genuine, historic treasure of the 80s! CityΒ΄s gonna burn!
