3.Making Of
by Peter Kupfer (28.09.2010) Michael Kiske is one of the most important Metal voices of the last 20 years. Successful with the German band Helloween, he and his unique voice are well-known. The Kiske-Somerville collaboration was born as an idea of Frontiers president Perugino and turned into a massive production with Mat Sinner (Primal Fear), Magnus Karlson (Starbreaker) and the American singer-songwriter Amanda Somerville who was tapped to replace the vocalist of Epica on one tour. Most of the songs are smooth and balanced without being syrupy or maudlin like most of the male/female duet songs and it sounds like both voices singing together for years. This album is a melodic Metal masterpiece and surely a showcase for the incredible voices of Kiske and Somerville.
